Since I closed my private practice I am now focusing on my musical endeavors. I will gladly refer inquiries to one of my associates. A Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Addiction Professional, my experience, education and ongoing addiction therapy training have been utilized to assist each client in finding their own solutions for mental health, and maintaining a balanced life.

In my practice the client always came first. Utilizing a person centered “eclectic” approach to help individuals examine their past – “where they were”; the present – “where they are now”; and the future – “where they’d like to be”. Motivational Interviewing techniques and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy were utilized to help them figure out “how to get there!”

While always working as a professional musician, in 1993 I began addiction treatment work by providing Music-Feelings Groups at a residential treatment facility in Pennsylvania. After completing my studies and state exam, I became a Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC) in PA. I worked as a Substance Abuse Counselor at agencies in NJ and PA until moving to Florida in 1998. After completing the Florida exam, I transferred my CAC to FL, becoming a Certified Addiction Professional (CAP).

While working as Addiction Program Director at the Florida State (Psychiatric) Hospital, I returned to school, completed my M.S. at Nova Southeastern University, and became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). During this time, I worked in various treatment settings (see below). My private counseling practice began in 2006, and since then, I have provided therapy to countless individuals challenged with a wide range of behavioral health issues.
